SARRAM

S A R R A M is the instrumental avantgarde solo project of the Sardinian based Valerio Marras, active since 2017. A crushing but yet graceful composition where drone ambient, doom, jazz, electronica and minimal post-rock blend to invite the listener to an intense sound journey.

Has released albums for Subsound Records (It), Midira Records (D), Talk About records (Sardinia) playing intensely all over Europe including appearances at LEM in Spain, Dunk!Festival in Belgium, Moving Noises and Schwarzer Herbst in Germany, Johannes Kirche in Lobau, Christus Kirche in Bochum, Who Needs Lyrics in Slovakia, KME, Signal fest, Paolo Fresu’s Insulare Lab, Tube Cult fest, Miniere Sonore etc, collaborations with MAN museum and Ciusa Musem in Nuoro, Museo Nivola in Orani, MUA in Sinnai, Luca T. Mai (ZU), Thisquietarmy, Animamundi, opening concerts – among the others – for Killing Joke, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Russian Circles, Alessandro Cortini (NIN) and many others. HUMANS IN LEVITATION

Humans in Levitation is an anomymous project focusing on immersive abstract repetitive yet evolving tonal landscapes where harmony unfolds spectrally. It is based on the Colundi microtonal scale created by Grant Wilson-Claridge and Alexi Perala and was influenced by the synesthetic vision of painter Tim Bavington.

SUPPORT DIY COMMUNITY

Deep within the DIY music scene, a vibrant energy thrives—raising awareness, shaping beliefs, and resisting any efforts to diminish its spirit. Through self-organization and collaboration, we challenge the usual organizer-audience setup found in profit-driven entertainment. Instead, we take charge by planning and performing our own gigs. For us, creativity isn’t just about self-expression; it’s a way to reshape and change society. The spirit of DIY is rooted in constantly questioning norms, challenging what’s considered “normal,” and encouraging collective pushback.

We reject passive consumption and instead foster an environment where everyone is invited to actively participate, contribute, and engage with the music and the community. Central to our values is a strong stance against commercialism. Despite the costs involved, we stay true to our tradition of placing a contribution box at the entrance of our events, allowing attendees to give what they can. This ensures that financial limitations never prevent anyone from joining in. To keep these efforts going and support our ongoing projects, we depend on your support. Your contributions directly aid initiatives like maintaining our event space and other ongoing projects.

Together, we work to protect and amplify an uncompromising cultural voice. Through our collective actions, we aim to keep alive a spirit of endless artistic creativity and personal expression, strengthening its resilience against mainstream cultural pressures. This commitment empowers individuals to fully engage with a community that embraces the idea of liberation through fun.

To ensure that all individuals who interact with us feel safe and comfortable, we operate under a no-tolerance policy against any form of discrimination, including but not limited to racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia and ableism.

If you experience discomfort or come across any behavior that is reproachable, please contact an organizer as promptly as possible.
