Screening
"Cassette: A Documentary Mixtape"
+ post-screening tekno party

On the occasion of our acquisition of the professional tape recording ability and the upcoming launch of our music label, we are thrilled to announce a screening of the acclaimed documentary “Cassette: A Documentary Mixtape.” This film delves deep into the cultural significance of the cassette tape as a cultural phenomenon, shedding light on its profound impact on artists and the music world as a whole. From the early days of mixtapes exchanged among friends to the birth of DIY music scenes, its influence on the mainstream music industry, and the current resurgence of cassette labels, the film beautifully captures the essence and charm of this beloved format.

SUPPORT DIY COMMUNITY

At the heart of the DIY music scene lies a potent force that cultivates awareness, molds beliefs, and vehemently resists any attempts to silence its influence. Through self-organization and collaboration within this community, we strive to dismantle the prevailing organizer-spectator dynamic that dominates commercial entertainment spaces driven by profit. Instead, we take matters into our own hands by curating and organizing our own gigs.

We reject the notion of passive consumption and instead cultivate an environment where everyone is invited to actively participate, contribute, and engage with the music and the community it fosters. One key aspect is the promotion of anti-commercialism, and we remain committed to this principle. Despite the various costs involved, we steadfastly uphold the tradition of having a free contribution box at the entrance of our gigs. This allows attendees to contribute what they can, ensuring that financial limitations do not hinder access to our events.

To make these endeavors possible and bring our ongoing projects to fruition, we require your invaluable financial support. Your contributions will directly aid initiatives such as the maintenance of our soundsystem, the development of our gig space, the establishment of an upcoming label, and more.

By supporting us financially, you become an integral part of this project, championing the values of creativity, and grassroots collaboration. Forging a dynamic and inclusive DIY music community that celebrates the power of collective expression.

GATHERING GUIDELINES

To ensure that all individuals who interact with us feel safe and comfortable, we operate under a zero-tolerance policy against any form of discrimination, including but not limited to racism, sexism, homophobia and transphobia. We are committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for people of all identities and sexualities, where they can express themselves freely and be supported without fear of judgement or prejudice.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused, but due to space limitations, there is a possibility that we may not be able to accommodate all attendees. Be aware that capturing photos or videos during this event is strictly prohibited. Your compliance with these guidelines is both expected and appreciated.
