13/01 LIVE

Skållhal

[Nostradamis Records]

The result of real events that could be interpreted as “the extraction of the stone of madness”, a theme that has been represented by painters of the Flemish and Netherlandish painting, most popular being that of Hieronymus Bosch created during a time of social turmoil. It is a post-traumatic astronoise 3D project based on the idea of death and rebirth and the inclination towards irrationalism. The word Skållhal a mixture of Swedish and Icelandic meaning hole in the skull, was inspired while watching Detifoss the most powerful waterfall in Europe. That which does not kill you makes you stronger or just more weird.

Psychward

Assailing from the sewers of Melbourne downunder, TG brings forth a heavy racket of rumble and disjointed uneasy sound. Concussed raw low-end audio.

An experimentator and one of these musical soldiers open to many winds. A straight position of ‘protomorphic primitivism’, a prolific bunch of projects – but by listening each of them, an inner coherence and honesty, something like : what is music ? what’s “non-music”? Surprise

Grim Machine

[E.C.T./Concrete Noise]

Grim Machine’s main source of inspiration is ancient art, myths and rituals. Since 2013 their work explores the way primal form and structural narrative can be organized into a language addressing issues of evolvement and deliverance.  By blending sequences of sounds in an unbroken continuity of loop layers and real time processed physical sources, GM explores the use of noise as medium of communication, and improvisation as a way of storytelling. In live performances, GM combines analog gear and non electronic-acoustic devices/ small instruments creating noise-scapes resembling natural and ethnographical or imaginary world sounds, questioning the distinction between artificial and natural environment, perception and false identification.
